CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

GENERAL
The salon is open to amateur and professional photographers from all over the world. Entrants must be authors of the works they submit. Each participant may send maximum of 4 photographs to each section.

SECTIONS

A) OPEN COLOR ( Only Color )
B) OPEN MONOCHROME ( Only Monochrome )
C) PORTRAIT ( Color and Monochrome )
D) AERIAL PHOTO ( Color and Monochrome )

An image may be entered in only one section.

FEES
Entry fee is:
- for all 4 sections 15 EUR.
Possible ways of payment is PayPal.
Discount for Group entries from 10 authors is 20%.

DIGITAL ENTRIES
The images, jpg files, can be uploaded directly per Internet on our Homepage: https://falconero.club
Dimension: Maximum horizontal length 1920 pixels, vertical 1080 pixels.
File size: should not exceed 2 MB per image.

IMAGE FILE NAMING
File name should be as you would want it to appear in the catalogue (same as title name).
Each image must have a unique title with maximum 35 characters (incl. space).
Please use English alphabet and numeric (A-z 0-9).
Please do not use accents and other characters.

JUDGING
The judges will Award the Acceptances, Medals and Honorable Mentions of the entered images. The one who has achieved the highest number of total acceptances of all the sections of the salon added together will be proclaimed “best author”. Judges would use Full HD Display 1080P (1920x1080). The target rate of acceptances is 30%.

RESULT AND ACCEPTANCES
Each participant will receive the Report card per email. 
E-Diplomas and E-Honorable Mentions are e-certificates in PDF format, which will be sent via email. Medals will be sent via post.

Confirmations of entry submittals and Report Cards will be sent to entrants Please be sure that this email address gets included in your “safe” email addresses to ensure receipt of these emails instead of having them blocked by your security system. Also, check your Junk E-Mail or Spam folder to see if your email software placed any messages from the exhibition there.

CATALOGUE AND AWARDS SHIPPING
The Best of Show HQ Catalogue showing mostly of acceptances and all Awarded images will be sent via email. Digital awards (PDF) will be sent via email. FIAP medals will be sent to each entrant by post.

PICTURES CREATED BY ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THIS SALON!
Pictures created by artificial intelligence are not allowed in salons run under FIAP patronage.
It is reminded that all parts of the image have to be photographed by the author who is holding the copyright of all works submitted. Offenders will be sanctioned for life!

PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY DEFINITION
Portrait Photography is a genre of photography that focuses on capturing the personality, emotions, and essence of a person or group of people. It typically emphasizes the subject’s face, expressions, and body language while using lighting, composition, and background to enhance the image. Portrait photography can be formal or candid and is commonly used for personal, professional, and artistic purposes.

AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY DEFINITION   
 Aerial Photography refers to the process of capturing photographs of the Earth's surface from an elevated position, typically using aircraft, drones, balloons, or other airborne platforms.

By entering this exhibition, you are explicitly consenting to the personal details you have supplied, including email addresses, being held, processed and used by the exhibition organizers for purposes associated with this exhibition. You also explicitly consent to such information being sent to organizations which have accorded official recognition, patronage or accreditation to this exhibition. You acknowledge and accept that entering this exhibition means that the status and results of your entry may be made public. Your email address and contact information will not be made public.

License agreement
By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies that he is a sole owner of the rights to use
sent images, including copyright, patent and/or other applicable rights. All models must
be of Legal Age of consent or have guardian permissions issued. The exhibition
organizers assume no liability for any copyright misuse conducted by entrants.
The organizer can use the exhibited works for reproduction in the catalogue and for promotion

FIAP Rules
By the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the participant accepts without exception and with no objection that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the participant is not a member of FIAP; that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking; that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP and that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the participant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations

If, at any time, it is determined in the reasonable discretion of the exhibition organizer or the judges before, during, or after the judging of an exhibition that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images may fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition organizers reserve the right to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards in connection with the exhibition. Fees may be forfeited or refunded in these circumstances. The entrant acknowledges that the decision of the exhibition organizers or the judges is final.

FIAP NOTICE
“I hereby expressly agree to FIAP document 040/2023 « Conditions and regulations for FIAP Patronage » and FIAP document 038/2023 « Sanctions for breaching FIAP regulations and the red list ». I am particularly aware of chapter II « Regulations for International photographic events under FIAP patronage » of FIAP document 040/2023, dealing under Section II.2 and II.3 with the FIAP participation rules, the sanctions for breaching FIAP regulations and the red list.” Failure to agree will mean that the application will not proceed.
